Our Story | Milton and Chambers

Started by two friends with a passion for quality drinks, our mission is to create complex fine spirits inspired by historic recipes.

From small beginnings

It started with two friends with a passion for unique drinks and a surplus of honey. In 2020 when Adam Robbins had a surplus of honey from a number of his hives, he and Neil Milton began investigating recipes to ensure it wouldn't go to waste. Keen to move away from the flavoured gins and vodkas and try something new, they unearthed an old recipe for Krupnikas. This proved so popular with friends and family that requests for more started to flood in and Milton & Chambers was born.

Finding inspiration in every turn

Initial batches of Krupnikas were made steeped, taking months to produce, so during this time, Adam and Neil uncovered more and more historic recipes for spirits from diverse regions across the globe. This opened up the opportunity to offer a delightful array of smooth and unique flavours to customers, whilst retaining the small batch quality that Milton & Chambers values.

Award winning

As Krupnikas retained its appeal, in 2023 Adam and Neil took a decision to develop a distilled version for the market. Whilst this had a slightly different flavour palette to the slow-aged version, it had a great reception and in 2024 gained a Gold Award in the South West Taste Awards, just months before the company was shortlisted in the South West Business Awards New Business Category.

Retaining values

Whilst Milton & Chambers continues to grow, our small team are committed to retaining core values, promoting small batch quality and the constant drive to bring a collection of unique flavours to the market. Our distilled spirits will remain on sale all year round, but we only deliver our slow-aged spirits in limited, numbered bottle runs. All our bottles are delivered in environmentally friendly packaging.

Adam Robbins

Founder & Director

Adam has been making and experimenting with historic drinks for over a decade. His journey into the world of spirits began with a fascination for the art of distillation and the thrill of experimenting with botanicals to craft unique flavours.

His spirits path initially started as a beekeeper seeking to utilise excess honey creatively, but his background is in environmental science, and this is the driving force behind M&C environmental focus: from sourcing as much as possible locally to using recycled packaging for deliveries.

Neil Milton

Founder & Director

Neil had been friends with Adam for a number of years before joining Adam in the journey to bring historic spirits to life though Milton & Chambers. Both have a passion for exquisite drinks.

Neil's previous Customer Service, Relationship Management and Project Management experience has been key in helping get a product out to market. His willingness to turn his hand to anything has been important and apparently he is a dab hand at licence applications, who knew!
